Cocchi (コッチ, Kotchi) is a stray kitten that becomes close friends with Chi.

Appearance[]

Cocchi is a small kitten (Male) with white and black fur.

Personality[]

Although he's a little bit rough and acts like a boss, he cares about Chi and will help her whenever she gets in trouble. He is also friends with Ann and Telly. He often seems angry and moody, but he shows his playful, fun side when he's with his friends, especially Chi.

Events in Books[]

He was one of 3 kittens in a box two boys found. The boys took the other kitten home, abandoning Cocchi and separating him from his sibling. In the manga he has 2 siblings, but in the 2016 anime Chi's Sweet Adventure he only has one, a younger brother called Shiro-Shiro.

He appears in vol.6 and named in vol.7.

He sometimes will play with Chi. Cocchi made the fountain at the park his turf, which is where he first met her. The Yamada's first saw him at the end of the 7th book.

In volume 9, he waits for Chi to come and pounces on a kitten that looks similar to Chi when he was searching for her. After Chi shakes off the leash and finds him, they go to a woman's home for food. Chi then falls asleep on a road and they almost got run over. Cocchi falls asleep too and they are taken to the Yamada's home. He goes back to the park because he couldn't get used to Chi's home.

In volume 10, Cocchi and Chi plays with two kittens that look very similar to Chi and might be her siblings. Afterwards, a woman gives him food in an alley and calls him Tiny.

  • In the Amazon Prime dub and sub of Chi's Sweet Adventure, he is given the name Come-Come. He is named this because of the woman in the "Good Place" said for him to come closer.
  • Cocchi means "come here" in Japanese.
